William Mattar opened the doors to his law firm with one goal in mind: to help injured people.
Ever since he was a young boy, William Mattar knew he wanted to be a lawyer, just like his father, Norman Mattar. One of William’s kindergarten assignments. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was proudly displayed on his father’s dresser throughout William’s childhood. Now, decades later, the original piece hangs on a wall in William’s office.

After graduating from Syracuse University College of Law and passing the New York State bar exam William Mattar opened his law firm and began legally representing injury victims. He continued to expand his legal knowledge, now admitted in 13 states across the US.
Years ago, when William was driving his young family on vacation, they witnessed a horrible car accident. He pulled their car off the road and ran over to try and help the victims. All passengers were ejected from the car; except the one woman wearing her seatbelt. The traumatic and devasting scene William witnessed that day had a profound and lasting effect on him. William Mattar’s mission to help injured car accident victims began to expand. Seeing that accident became the catalyst for the Buckle Your Belt Pledge, one of many community-focused campaigns William Mattar supports.
Now, with more than 30 years of experience advocating for victims of motor vehicle accidents, William Mattar is honored to say his law firm is now the largest motor vehicle accident firm in New York State.
