Safe Ride Home 4 The Holidays Terms & Conditions

Eligibility:

  1. Must be a minimum age of 21 to enter or to win. Should a registrant fail to fully complete the required documents and supply required information in a timely manner or with false information, the registrant will be disqualified.
  2. Registrants must be a resident of New York State to be eligible to enter the contest.
  3. If you are an employee or staff member of William Mattar, P.C., William K. Mattar, Esq., or William Mattar Law Offices herein collectively referred to as “William Mattar Law Offices” or the “Firm,” an advertising or promotional agency of William Mattar Law Offices or any other enterprise that contributed promotional consideration (such as prizes, administration or hosting services), you are not eligible to enter the contest. This includes summer, part-time, full-time, and temporary staff members. Family members of employees, which includes siblings, parents, significant others, children, grandchildren, or grandparents, are also not eligible to win. Also people living in the same household or individuals otherwise excluded are not eligible to win.
  4. If you are a lawyer or an employee or staff member of any law firm, you are not eligible to enter the contest. This includes summer, part-time, full-time, and temporary staff members. Family members of employees, which includes siblings, parents, significant others, children, grandchildren, or grandparents, are also not eligible to win. Also people living in the same household or individuals otherwise excluded are not eligible to win.

Entering:

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
  2. For registration in the William Mattar Safe Ride Home 4 the Holidays program, you will receive a membership to Designated Drivers of Buffalo (valued at approximately $99.00) and be randomly-selected to receive either a Free Ride (valued at approximately $99.00) or a $25.00 or $10.00 Gift Certificate towards a ride. Any additional rides and fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
  3. Registrant may enter each contest, campaign, and program only once. Registrants’ names will remain in the drawing for however long the contest, campaign, or program lasts for the calendar year in which the entry was made. This time frame is to be declared by William Mattar Law Offices and is subject to change at any time.
  4. Registrants may enter for programs, campaigns, or contests online (through the www.williammattar.com website) ONLY. We will not accept entries through email, fax, telephone, mail, or in person. Only one entry per household.
  5. William Mattar Law Offices is not responsible for any technical difficulties entrants face. Such difficulties may include (but are not limited to) busy signals, overload on website, printing problems, technical/electronic malfunctions. The Firm is also not responsible for registrants having difficulties sending/receiving emails or phone calls, or accessing the Firm’s website.
  6. For entering, participants will be required to go to William Mattar Law Offices’ main website (www.williammattar.com). From the site, they will be directed to a sub site or another site, which can still be accessed through the main site.
  7. For entering different programs, campaigns, and contests, membership involves the following.
    1. Membership is free.
    2. Giving your personal information.
      1. i) Participants will be required to answer several questions regarding their personal information.
      2. ii) This information may include (but is not limited to) the following: name, email, phone number, date of birth or age, gender, and address.
        • This information entered MUST be your personal information.
        • The email address provided MUST be the participant’s email address.
        • Each email address may have ONLY ONE participant. Two registrants may NOT use the same email address. If an email address is entered more than once, then one or all entries may be considered invalid.
        • Should a member cancel their email address, they will no longer be considered a member. They will no longer be considered ‘eligible’ for winning.
    3. All information entered by the participants becomes property of William Mattar Law Offices. Information provided by entrants will not be returned.
    4. Should any information entered by registrants be determined as false or fraudulent, participant will be disqualified and will no longer be considered for any drawings or prizes resulting from contests, programs, or campaigns. Any registrant who is not eligible for entrance will also be disqualified and eliminated from drawings.
    5. Any information that is submitted, but is not complete will be disqualified.
    6. By entering any information, you are agreeing to receive legal promotional, advertising, and/or marketing emails and text messages.
    7. Membership and/or registration do not mean you will receive or win a prize or gift. In fact, only a small percentage of members or registrants may win or receive a prize or gift.

Becoming a member:

  1. Joining a campaign, contest, or program as a member will allow participants to receive various types of emails, mailings, and/or promotions. These emails and mailings may be used to allow participants to take part in other various activities, including (but not limited to) surveys, questionnaires, raffles, and drawings.
  2. Information provided by members is required to be truthful and any information that is not will invalidate the membership.
  3. If a member wants to opt out of membership to any program or campaign, they may do so by emailing [email protected] and by typing Opt Out in the email subject line. Please also provide your name and email address in the body of the email.

Redemption/Winning:

  1. Upon entry, all Safe Ride Home 4 the Holidays registrants will receive One (1) Designated Drivers of Buffalo membership (approximate value $99.00). ONLY One (1) membership will be awarded per household.
  2. Registrants must download the DDNY app and create an account in order to redeem Designated Drivers of Buffalo membership and to claim prize of one free ride (approximate value of $99.00) or one $25.00 or $10.00 gift certificate towards a ride. Prizes will be selected at random for each registrant.
  3. Registrants will not be allowed to redeem the free ride or discounted ride code until their eligibility to participate in the program or campaign has been confirmed and the required registration has been completed.
  4. Free ride prizes and discounted ride prizes are for one-way service only and are not valid for other Designated Drivers of Buffalo services.
  5. Free rides shall be provided within a fifteen (15) mile radius of City Hall in the City of Buffalo.
  6. Free ride or discounted ride code must be redeemed by November 1, 2020. Designated Drivers of Buffalo membership is valid through November 1, 2020. This may be subject to change without notice.
  7. Registration for William Mattar’s Safe Ride Home 4 the Holidays is open until December 31, 2019 or when $109, 050.00 worth of prizes are given away (based on Designated Drivers of Buffalo’s approximate value for each prize), or whichever comes first.
  8. Designated Drivers of Buffalo is not a ride share service. Designated Drivers of Buffalo provides a safe and reliable transportation service for both you and your car in the Buffalo, NY area. Contact Designated Drivers of Buffalo for ride distance restrictions. Registrant is responsible to investigate Designated Drivers of Buffalo and determine if such service meets registrant’s needs for the specific purpose recipient is using such service.
  9. William Mattar is a Corporate Sponsor of Designated Drivers of Buffalo and funding the membership and gift certificate prizes in the Safe Ride Home 4 the Holidays program. All rides are provided by Designated Drivers of Buffalo and scheduled through the DDNY app. William Mattar is not responsible for any technical issues with the DDNY app or with scheduling and performing actual rides.
  10. William Mattar is not responsible for providing additional memberships or free/discounted ride codes should the registrant not redeem before the program’s expiration date.
  11. Registrant may be required to show valid photo identification at the time of prize redemption. Should registrant fail to show photo identification or documentation, Designated Drivers of Buffalo may not release the giveaway.
  12. If you enter into one contest, campaign, or program, you ARE NOT automatically entered into all of them. You must register, with your information, into each program, campaign, or contest you wish to enter. Please note: there may be more than one contest taking place at any given time.
  13. The winner will be asked to sign some paperwork. This includes, but is not limited to, a liability release. This will release William Mattar Law Offices, staff members, owner, and any contest sponsor from being held responsible.
  14. The Firm is not responsible for attempting to contact the winner more than once. William Mattar Law Offices will be required to send a notification email to the given email address from the online entry form. Should a winner not respond within 5 days, then the Firm holds no further obligation to that winner. William Mattar Law Offices may continue to make attempts to contact winner/registrant. A different winner may be chosen should the Firm be unable to reach, obtain a response, or get in contact with the original winner.
  15. Winner must consent to having their photo taken at the time the prize is claimed. A liability release and consent to use their name, photo and likeness in marketing and promotional materials must also be completed at that time.
  16. Small prizes in addition to the Grand Prize may or may not be available. Prizes may have a deadline to be picked up. All prizes must be picked up or retrieved within 5 days of the original or attempted notification. This may be subject to change.
    1. Should winner not claim a prize within the time deadline, the Firm has sole discretion to declare another winner.
    2. If the prize is not picked up before the deadline, it becomes the Firm’s property. The Firm reserves the right to pick a new winner or dispose of the prize in some other way.
  17. Winner may not be allowed to pick up prize until their eligibility to participate in the drawing, contest, campaign, program, or raffle has been confirmed and the required paperwork has been completed. William Mattar Law Offices may take steps to confirm eligibility but is not responsible for doing so.
  18. The documentation (including but not limited to the liability release) must be completed and signed at the Firm’s office before being eligible to claim a prize. Winner must also bring a form of photo identification (which shows date of birth) and show proof of social security number and any other documents declared by the Firm.
    1. Should winner fail to bring photo identification, documentation, and proof of social security number, the Firm will not release the prize to winner.
    2. If winner refuses to sign required documents, then William Mattar Law Offices has sole discretion to declare another winner.
  19. Prizes must be picked up in person, unless otherwise declared by the William Mattar Law Offices. They will only be given to declared winner(s) or the legal guardians/parents of the winner(s).
  20. William Mattar Law Offices has the right to alter prizes of equal or greater value for contests, campaigns, programs, and giveaways. There is no cash redemption or any exchanges of prizes.
  21. Those who win and claim prizes are held responsible for paying all taxes if applicable (including but not limited to federal, state, county, and local taxes). Taxes will be based on prize value.
    1. The Firm may put an expiration date on any/all prizes. Sponsors may also put an expiration date on prize.
  22. William Mattar Law Offices is also not responsible for the reimbursement or replacement of any prize.
  23. The Firm has the sole discretion to change/alter prizes and/or rules and regulations that go along with prizes.
  24. The winner authorizes William Mattar Law Offices and all of its affiliates, successors, and assignees permission to use his or her pictorial, likeness, name, or video and/or sound recordings for marketing, promotion, broadcast, print, web or otherwise.
  25. William Mattar Law Offices will make the final decisions. Registrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions by entering. William Mattar Law Offices has no responsibility for losses, injuries, or damages caused by accepting these terms and conditions and entering into programs, contests, memberships, and giveaways. Terms and agreements are subject to change. Should they change, registrants/members still agree to alterations. It is registrant/member’s responsibility to check the terms and agreements on a regular basis to make sure they are aware of any modifications and still agree to follow such rules and regulations. The Firm reserves the right to delete, alter, or add in any terms, conditions, and rules.
  26. William Mattar Law Offices shall not be held responsible or liable should there be a printing, publishing, transmission, communication error or other technical error as it relates to the contest, campaign or program, including but not limited to the type or number of prizes.
  27. William Mattar Law Offices has the right to cancel or abandon the contest, campaign or program at any time or the right to do anything it chooses within the bounds of the law to either remedy a given error, problem, situation or to discontinue.
  28. William Mattar Law Offices maximum liability for any campaign or contest shall be the lesser of prize(s) value or Two Hundred dollars ($200.00).
  29. Registrant and/or winner shall indemnify and defend William Mattar Law Offices and its managers, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and assigns against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgements, settlements, interests, awards, penalties, fines, costs, expenses of whatever kind, including professional and attorney fees arising out of any claim alleging any breach or non-fulfillment of any representation warranty or covenant, negligence, omission, injury, bodily injury, death, reckless or willful misconduct, or failure to comply with any law, rule, regulation or code.
