1. Sponsorship and Eligibility
This promotion is sponsored by William Mattar, P.C., which has a principal office located at 6720 Main Street, Suite 100, Williamsville, New York 14221. There is no purchase necessary to be eligible for this promotion. This promotion is only open to residents of New York State who are twenty-one (21) years or older at the time of registration. The promotion is void in other states and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law.
If you fail to comply with Terms and Conditions you are not eligible for this promotion. If you are an employee or staff member of William Mattar, P.C., William K. Mattar, Esq., or William Mattar Law Offices, herein collectively referred to as “William Mattar Law Offices” or the “Firm,” an advertising or promotional agency of William Mattar Law Offices or any other enterprise that contributed promotional consideration (such as prizes, administration, or hosting services), you are not eligible for this promotion. This includes summer, part-time, full-time, and temporary staff members. Family members of employees, which includes siblings, parents, significant others, children, grandchildren, or grandparents, are also not eligible for this promotion. Also, people living in the same household of individuals ineligible from this promotion are not eligible for this promotion.
If you are a lawyer or an employee or staff member of any law firm, you are not eligible for this promotion. This includes summer, part-time, full-time, and temporary staff members. Family members of employees, which includes siblings, parents, significant others, children, grandchildren, or grandparents, are also not eligible for this promotion. Also, people living in the same household of individuals otherwise ineligible are not eligible for this promotion.
2. Promotion Period
This promotion will start at 12:01 PM (EST) on March 1, 2023 and end on March 16, 2023 at 12:01 PM (EST), or upon email distribution of 1,000 Uber Ride Vouchers (each with a $20.00 redemption value) to valid registrants, whichever occurs first. The maximum time period for this promotion is from 12:01 PM (EST) on March 1, 2023 to 12:01 PM (EST) on March 16, 2023 while supplies last. If deemed necessary by Firm in its sole discretion, Firm reserves the right to extend the Promotion Period by increasing the number of Uber Ride Vouchers (each with a $20.00 redemption value) that are distributed to valid registrants. In no event will the time period for this promotion extend after 12:01 PM (EST) on March 16, 2023, though it may end before that time upon email distribution of 1,000 Uber Ride Vouchers (each with a $20.00 redemption value) to valid registrants.
3. Registration Procedures
Limited to one code per person. Can only be used by the first person who redeems the code. Non-transferrable.
To enter this promotion, you must complete a registration form which will require you to agree to Terms and Conditions and provide certain information, including First Name, Last Name, Street Address, City, State, Mobile Phone Number, Email Address, “County of Ride Pickup” and “County of Ride Drop Off.” “County of Ride Pickup” and “County of Ride Drop Off” will refer to the county within New York State where the registrant would apply one Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value) to an Uber ride within New York State between March 17, 2023 12:00 PM (EST) and March 18, 2023 5:00 AM (EST). Voucher may not be applied to a ride outside New York State. Please note that the following counties within New York State are excluded from this promotion: Queens, Kings, Richmond, New York, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, Nassau. Those who seek to apply an Uber Ride Voucher to a ride outside New York State, or a ride involving a pickup or drop off within one of the excluded counties within New York State, will be excluded from this promotion and ineligible to participate. No person may register more than once, and only one person is permitted to register per household. Any person who registers more than once, or any persons who register from the same household, will not be considered valid registrant(s) and will be ineligible for this promotion. Completion of the registration form does not guarantee that you will receive one Uber Ride Voucher.
The first 1,000 registrants will receive a confirmation email from [email protected] which will acknowledge the registration, provide certain information, and advise that a second email with one Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value) and additional instructions will be forthcoming provided that the registrant is eligible for the promotion and complied with Terms and Conditions to that point. Upon confirmation that the registrant is eligible for the promotion and complied with Terms and Conditions to that point, the first 1,000 valid registrants will receive a second email containing a voucher code link that will enable one Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value) to be added to Uber wallet in the Uber app. Receipt of this second email will confirm that the registrant has been determined eligible for this promotion, complied with Terms and Conditions to that point, and is a valid registrant.
Upon successful completion of all steps required by Uber, valid registrants will have access to a code link for one (1) Uber Ride Voucher with a redemption value of $20.00 that can be applied to one Uber ride booked between 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023 with a ride pickup and drop off within New York State in a county other than Queens, Kings, Richmond, Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, or Nassau. The Uber Ride Voucher will allow the valid registrant, who must have an active Uber account and access to the Uber app, to receive full or partial payment in an amount of up to $20.00 toward one Uber ride booked between 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023. To redeem the voucher, valid registrants must have a valid, active Uber account, and access to the Uber app. Registrants who have been suspended/banned from use of the Uber app, or plan to apply the Uber Ride Voucher to an Uber ride with someone who is suspended/banned from use of the Uber app, are not eligible for this promotion.
The Uber Ride Voucher cannot be applied to an Uber ride booked outside the time window of 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 to 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023. No credit, reimbursement, or substitution will be provided for any Uber Ride Voucher that is not applied to an Uber ride within the time window of 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 to 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023. An Uber Ride Voucher that is not applied to a ride within the designated time window will be removed automatically from Uber wallet.
According to Uber, tips are not covered by an Uber Ride Voucher and will be charged to another personal payment method. If the Uber Ride Voucher only covers a portion of the trip, the valid registrant will have to pay any remaining cost out of another personal payment method. A valid personal payment method must be added to the account to redeem the Uber Ride Voucher. Other limitations may apply.
Firm is not an affiliate of Uber. By booking an Uber ride, you enter into a transaction with Uber. Except as otherwise set forth in these Terms and Conditions, Firm is unable to assist with issues that may arise including but not limited to: creating an Uber account, using the Uber app, or other issues that may arise during an Uber ride. Such inquiries or requests may be directed to Uber through in-app support. A registrant who subsequently wishes to opt out of this promotion before receiving or redeeming the Uber Ride Voucher should make a written request via email before the end of the promotion period. Requests to opt out should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line “opt out of Uber Ride Promotion”.
4. Duties of Participants; Limitation of Liability
By entering this promotion, registrant agrees to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Firm, which shall be final. Registrant also agrees to comply with applicable Uber Community Guidelines, available at: https://www.uber.com/legal/en/document/?name=general-community-guidelines&country=united-states&lang=en. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Firm and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of Firm, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible registrations; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Firm that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a voucher or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a voucher, or from participation in the promotion; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the promotion. Firm’s maximum liability for any claims arising from this promotion shall be $20.00.
Registrant shall indemnify and defend Firm and its managers, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and assigns against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgements, settlements, interests, awards, penalties, fines, costs, expenses of whatever kind, including professional and attorney fees arising out of any claim alleging any breach or non-fulfillment of any representation warranty or covenant, negligence, omission, injury, bodily injury, death, reckless or willful misconduct, or failure to comply with any law, rule, regulation or code relating to this promotion.
5. Violation of Promotion Rules
Registrants who provide false, misleading, or untruthful information will not be considered a valid registrant and will be excluded from the promotion. Firm reserves the right to disqualify and exclude any registrant who, in its sole suspicion, tampers with the registration process, intentionally submits more than a single registration, violates Terms and Conditions, or acts in a deceptive or disruptive manner. Examples of deceptive or disruptive actions include, but are not limited to, auto-generated registration by macro, script, or other means, as well as efforts by persons in one household to register more than once. Other examples include, but are not limited to, inputting fictitious information, or using a “bot” or any automated process of any kind to submit more than one registration. Such actions or conduct will be deemed a violation of Terms and Conditions. Firm will exercise reasonable diligence to identify registrants who provide false, misleading, or untruthful information or are otherwise invalid but cannot guarantee that all such registrants will be identified, and the determinations of Firm will be final.
Transmission of Uber Ride Voucher code links may be delayed while compliance with Terms and Conditions is verified or while suspected violations are investigated, and Firm makes no express or implied guarantee that any such verification(s) or investigation(s) will conclude before the end of the promotion period.
6. Redemption of Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value)
Every valid registrant will receive one (1) Uber Ride Voucher with a redemption value of $20.00 that can be applied to an Uber ride booked between 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023. The Uber Ride Voucher can only be applied to a ride within New York State but cannot be applied to a ride with a pickup or drop-off location in the following counties: Queens, Kings, Richmond, New York, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, Nassau. An “Uber Ride Voucher” means a promotional code that, when validly applied, allows an individual user with an active Uber Ride account to receive a partial or full payment for an Uber Ride up to the amount of the applicable Uber Ride Voucher, subject to certain restrictions and limitations. Valid registrants will receive nothing else.
To ensure that all valid registrants receive one voucher, the promotion will end on March 16, 2023 at 12:01 PM (EST), or upon email distribution of 1,000 Uber Ride vouchers (each with a $20.00 redemption value) to valid registrants, whichever occurs first, and the registration form will then become deactivated and removed. Firm reserves the right to reactivate the registration form without notice to allow additional registration should any of the first 1,000 registration submissions be found to be ineligible, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid. Such additional registration will be limited to the same number of registrants who were found to be ineligible, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid within the first 1,000 registration submissions. In no event will an Uber Ride Voucher be issued in an amount other than $20.00. In no event will the promotion end after March 16, 2023 at 12:01 PM (EST).
DISCLAIMER: Limited to one code per person. Can only be used by the first person who redeems the code. Non-transferrable. Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value): (a) may only be redeemed for specific types of rides requested via mobile application (that is, Uber Ride with pickup and drop off location in eligible New York State counties): (b) is subject to a specific, defined expiration date (that is, Uber ride booked between 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023); (c) is subject to specific, defined geographic restrictions (that is, Uber Ride with pickup and drop-off location in a county within New York State other than Queens, Kings, Richmond, New York, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, Nassau); (d) is subject to a specific, defined maximum Redemption Value (that is, $20.00 per person); (e) cannot be redeemed for goods or services outside of the Uber mobile applications; (f) once redeemed, Uber Ride Voucher value is not transferable to other Uber accounts, users or products; (g) User and Firm will not receive any value or credit for any unused portions of Uber Voucher; and (h) has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash, except as required by law.
Limited availability. No cash value. One-time use only. Maximum discount of $20. To redeem discount, Uber Voucher code must be applied to Payment section of the Uber mobile application prior to requesting the intended trip. Voucher valid March 17, 2023 12:00 PM (EST) through March 18, 2023 5:00 AM (EST) within the specified geographic restrictions. Offer is non-transferable, subject to change or cancellation. Issues involving redemption and/or use of the Uber Voucher code should be directed to Firm at [email protected].
7. Valid Registration; Forfeiture; No Substitution of Voucher
The first 1,000 valid registrants will receive a second email containing a voucher code link that will enable one Uber Ride Voucher ($20.00 redemption value) to be added to Uber wallet. Firm has no obligation to substitute or replace an Uber Ride Voucher. The voucher must be used for personal use only and cannot be transferred or sold and is not redeemable for cash. Any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the valid registrant. Limit: one voucher per person. One voucher per household.
Valid registrants who fail to add the Uber Ride Voucher to their Uber wallet and apply it to an Uber ride booked between 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023 will forfeit the Uber Ride Voucher. No credit, reimbursement, or substitution will be provided for any Uber Ride Voucher that is not applied, or is unsuccessfully applied, to a ride within the time window of 12:00 PM (EST) on March 17, 2023 and 5:00 AM (EST) on March 18, 2023.
8. Permissions
Information provided by registrants becomes property of Firm and will not be returned. By entering information in the registration form and submitting that form, you agree to receive promotional, advertising, and/or marketing materials including emails and text messages/SMS from Firm. You can opt out of receiving promotional, advertising, and/or marketing materials, including emails and text messages/SMS, at any time by emailing [email protected] and by typing “Opt Out” in the email subject line. Please also provide your name and email address in the body of the email when requesting to opt out. Registrants must agree to terms of the Privacy Statement contained on Firm’s website, available at: https://www.williammattar.com/disclaimer/. This promotion is administered through Uber for Business, and the Uber for Business dashboard will provide Firm with certain information about registrants, including, but not limited to, whether your Uber Ride Voucher was claimed, your name, Uber Ride request and drop off time (for the ride to which the Uber Ride Voucher was applied), and the city of the trip. By submitting your information through the registration form, you give Firm express permission to access this data. You consent (a) to transfer your personal data to Uber; (b) to receive SMS and other marketing messages and other communications from Uber in connection with Uber Vouchers and the Uber Service; and (c) for Uber to Provide (i) Firm, and (ii) when Firm uses Third-Party Service, the Third-Party Service for services requested through the Third-Party Service, with detailed trip information, including trip status, for any trip you place using an Uber Ride Voucher created by Firm. By entering information in the registration form and submitting that form, you agree to allow Firm to share such information with Uber to facilitate delivery of the Uber Ride Voucher to your email address. Such information may include your email address and phone number.
