William Mattar

William K. Mattar, Esq. has been named one of Western New York’s top C-level executives by Buffalo Business First. Not only did Mr. Mattar obtain the honor for his business leadership, but also for his charitable contributions to the local community.

A Focus on Helping the Injured

An Amherst native, Mr. Mattar established his first law office in 1990. Through his innovative leadership, his team of five attorneys and ten staffers continued to grow. In 1995, Mr. Mattar established William Mattar, P.C. Over the past 27 years, the law firm has grown to approximately 130 employees with six locations across New York State. His practice focuses on car accident injury cases synonymous with the well-known tagline, Hurt in a Car – Call William Mattar, 444-4444.

Through Mr. Mattar’s leadership, the William Matter Law Offices’ team has been able to extend their reach throughout New York State with the opening of new offices. While the principal location remains in Buffalo (Williamsville), he now has intake locations in Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, New York City, and Long Island.

As explained in an article from Buffalo Business First, whether new employees join the team as a legal assistant or a lawyer, they have a year-long training process in order to understand the business of helping individuals who have been injured in accidents, such as the negotiation process involved in obtaining a settlement from an insurance provider, or understanding the compassion necessary when speaking with clients.

A Focus on Car Accidents

For about the first eight years of Mr. Mattar’s practice, the firm was full service, meaning that the team provided assistance to those who had been injured in a number of different types of accidents. However, he noted that the other professionals he saw who were doing well were specializing in one area. So they decided to focus on solely providing their assistance to those injured in motor vehicle accidents, including accidents involving cars, commercial trucks, motorcycles, rideshares, bicycles, and pedestrians.

Since honing his focus strictly on motor vehicle accidents, Mr. Mattar and his team have been able to garner more than $400 million in settlements and awards for their clients, and they currently serve thousands of clients a year, helping them to navigate the legal process in order to obtain compensation for their injuries.
