Personal injury is a type of harm, which is generally divided into two categories: harm to property and harm to a person. Personal injury is the term used to mean harm to a person. It is any harm that is not harm to property. In our legal system, when one person unfairly causes another to suffer a loss, and that loss is to the individual’s body, mind or emotions, that individual has suffered a personal injury.
