There were nearly 70,000 traffic accidents resulting in pedestrian injury reported in 2010 alone. This means that nearly 12 people are severely injured or killed as the result of a pedestrian accident every single day.

One such crash occurred earlier this week in Buffalo. The Buffalo News reports the incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the corner of William Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Reports indicate that the Buffalo pedestrian accident occurred when the driver of a rented moving van attempted to make a left turn, but turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle and the two collided. The force of the impact sent the car spinning out of control up onto the curb, where it then struck three pedestrians at a bus stop before coming to a stop.

The three pedestrians suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the car that was struck by the van was also transported to the hospital to be treated. The moving van’s driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the impact.

The Buffalo Auto Accident Lawyers with William Mattar Law Offices understand how devastating being hurt in an accident can be. That is why the firm would urge anyone who had been injured by another person’s negligence to discuss their legal rights with an attorney immediately.
