Wyoming County Man Killed in ATV Crash

A 65-year-old man from Warsaw, Wyoming County, was killed and two more people injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Gainesville, Wyoming County, last night.

Around 8 p.m. the man’s Polaris Ranger overturned on an off-road trail near Route 78, and he was ejected from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers—a 53-year-old female and 65-year-old male—were both injured in the crash.

The woman was life-flighted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, with a head injury and is listed today in satisfactory condition. The other passenger was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital with a leg injury.

Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the crash.
