In the state of New York, passengers injured in car accidents are entitled to No-Fault Insurance benefits, which include the payment of medical bills, lost wages, and other expenses. As a passenger, your primary benefits will be paid by the insurance company of the vehicle you were riding in, regardless of who's at fault for the accident.
In order to get the benefits you're owed, you must submit a completed No-Fault Application form as soon as possible but no later than 30 days after the accident to the insurance company.
