An under-aged man from East Aurora, New York, was charged with drunken driving over the weekend when he nearly struck a patrol car early Sunday morning.
The Buffalo News reports that the arrest took place around 4:30 a.m. at the 1600 block of Emery Road in the Town of Aurora shortly after the 20-year-old male driver narrowly missed hitting the back of an Erie County patrol car.
Erie County sheriff’s officials told The Buffalo News that the driver had an open container of alcohol in his car and that he failed several field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol content reading was found to be 0.17. The driver has been charged with driving at imprudent speed.
