2 Injured in Fiery Rollover Crash in Concord, New York

Two 19-year-old residents of Town of Concord, New York, were injured on the afternoon of Saturday, July 16, on Route 39 near Morton Corners Road.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard says the crash occurred around 1 p.m. when a 19-year-old male driver from Springville, New York, reportedly tried to pass a large farm vehicle on Route 39, according to WIVB.

The passenger vehicle collided with the farm vehicle and then rolled over several times before landing on its roof. The passenger vehicle then burst into flames.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken by ambulance to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springfield while the 19-year-old female passenger was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. She is listed in serious condition.

WIVB reports that the 35-year-old driver of the farm vehicle was not injured during the crash.

Charges are reportedly pending as the crash investigation continues.
