Worker killed in Buffalo auto accident

The Wall Street Journal reports that a worker on a road stripping truck has been killed in a Buffalo auto accident.

The Buffalo auto accident occurred when a propane tanker veered into the truck.

The 27-year-old victim was operating paint controls on the back of the truck when the tanker struck his vehicle and he was thrown from the truck. Another worker was also injured.

Woman severely injured in Rochester pedestrian accident

The Wall Street Journal reports that a woman was critically injured after being run over by a bus in a Rochester pedestrian accident.

The 64-year-old victim was crossing the street in a cross walk when a bus, making a left hand turn, struck her and dragged her. The victim had to undergo surgery to have both legs and one of her hands amputated. She is currently in guarded condition.

Police are trying to determine the status of the crosswalk signal at the time the Rochester pedestrian accident occurred.

The Syracuse auto accident happened while the officer was en-route to a call. It appears another vehicle crossed the officer’s path, and when the officer tried to avoid the other vehicle he struck a tree.

One killed in Niagara Falls drunk driving accident

Police are investigating a Niagara Falls auto accident that killed one person and injured two others.

According to WGRZ, the Niagara Falls auto accident happened when the driver of the car took a turn too fast and struck a pole. The vehicle flipped over upon impact with the pole.

Six people were in the vehicle at the time of the Niagara Falls auto accident. The driver fled the scene of the accident but was found a short time later. He was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, DWI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Teen dies following Rochester bicycle accident

WCAX reports that a 14-year-old boy was killed in a Rochester bicycle accident after being struck by a police vehicle while riding his bicycle.

The officer was responding to a call and traveling with lights and sirens flashing when the teen rode into his path from between two stopped vehicles.

The cruiser was driven by a police trainee. Neither officer was hurt in the Rochester bicycle accident. The accident remains under investigation. It is unknown at this time how fast the vehicle was going at the time of the Rochester bicycle accident.

Police said a man driving a truck swerved from the passing lane and forced a passenger vehicle off the road in the Syracuse auto accident. Another truck following behind struck the vehicle. The first truck did not stop at the Syracuse auto accident scene.

The man in the passenger car was killed in the Syracuse auto accident.

The driver of the truck was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal Syracuse auto accident and misleading police after he provided a false report. The second tractor trailer driver was charged with following too closely and speeding in the Syracuse auto accident.

Man injured in New York auto accident

SUV crashed into home in Syracuse auto accident

The Post-Standard reports that a police pursuit ended causing a Syracuse auto accident when crashing into a home.

Police saw an SUV running red lights and disregarding traffic signs, and attempted to pull over the vehicle. The vehicle failed to negotiate a turn, and crashed into a garage attached to a home.

The driver entered the home and was found a short time later hiding in the bathroom. A female resident of the home fled the house when she saw that a man was inside. As she exited the house, she fell and hit her head, and she had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
