One woman killed in Rochester auto accident

A woman was killed when the car she was riding in collided with the vehicle of a Monroe County sheriff’s deputy, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.

Police report that the woman was riding with her husband when they crossed the center line and tried to make a left turn without yielding. The car flipped in front of the sheriff deputy’s vehicle, causing the Rochester auto accident.

Speed was not a factor in the Rochester car accident.

12 injured in Buffalo bus accident

October 28, 2008

WIVB TV reported that a Buffalo bus accident left a dozen people injured.

The Buffalo auto accident occurred on Sunday, around 4pm, at the intersection of Monroe and Sycamore Street.

Numerous ambulances were dispatched to the New York bus accident site where they found that a car had hit a Metro Bus.

An NFTA spokesperson reports that 12 people were transported to various hospitals, including the bus driver, nine passengers, and two people in the car.

NFTA police are conducting an extensive investigation into the Buffalo bus accident.

One man injured in Schenectady motorcycle accident

October 23, 2008

The Daily Gazette reported that one man was hospitalized after a Schenectady motorcycle accident.

A woman was driving her vehicle southbound on Lenox road when she hit a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary police investigation indicates that the driver of the vehicle ran a red light then struck the motorcyclist causing the Schenectady motorcycle accident.

No tickets have been issued in the New York motorcycle accident.

One man dead after Niagara Falls motorcycle accident

October 16, 2008

Interstate 190, the Niagara thruway, was closed following a New York auto accident on Tuesday, according to Newsday.com. A motorcyclist crashed into a back of a pick-up truck that had stopped to avoid hitting a disabled vehicle.

The Niagara Falls motorcycle accident happened on the bridge linking Grand Island and Niagara Falls, and shut down the Thruway for more than three hours.

A rubbernecking accident closed down the southbound bridge for about an hour.

Man runs red light causing Utica auto accident

October 14, 2008

Police said that a man ran a red light in downtown Utica and crashed into an Arc bus, according to WKTV News.

Police said the 47-year-old man ran a red light on Genesee Street and crashed into the bus that was headed west on Liberty Street, causing the Utica auto accident.

The driver and passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the Utica car accident.

The man faces multiple traffic violations and has been issued summons to appear in court for causing the New York auto accident.

Rochester auto accident kills two

October 7, 2008

Two people were killed in a Rochester auto accident when a car collided head-on with a truck.

The car veered into an oncoming lane and collided with the truck, killing both the driver and passenger in the car. The New York auto accident occurred around 6am on Route 104 just west of Rochester, closing a section of highway for several hours.

According to NewsDay, the truck driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the Rochester car accident is under investigation.
